Every season, there are a bunch of books that catch my eye (mainly because I’m a book fiend… you have to be in this job!!) and I mark them to be added to my TBR list. I beg for ARCs from the publishers and mourn when I only have two or three copies to send out to booksellers. This time, though? I have a sample that EVERYONE can enjoy.
Tor.com posted the first few chapters of one of my favourite genre-titles of the season. It’s like an alternate world tale of cabarets, secret agents and fascist states. I wanted to sink into the prose like the furniture of Aristide’s plush apartment. Give these sample chapters a read; I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
