There’s nothing more exciting to a reader than discovering a new favourite book. Unfortunately, we don’t always know what books will do it for us. Sometimes a book that seems interesting ends up being a disappointment and sometimes you get pleasantly surprised by a book you didn’t think you’d like. When I recommend a favorite book of mine to a friend, I can’t help but be a little jealous of them. They are about to start a fantastic journey. I wish I could read a book knowing it will be one of my favorites.

The closest thing I will ever get to that feeling is this right here – Vanessa and Tamara were gushing about a new book (a series actually) and highly recommended it to me. We have very similar reading taste so of course I was intrigued.

Magic? Parallel universes? A magician who is one of the rare few who can travel between the worlds? An adventure to save all the worlds? Yes, please. I love all of these ingredients.

I felt the thrill of “Oh yes, this is going to be good” and I went into the read knowing it would be something I’d love. Let me tell you, it has definitely lived up to the hype.
