Happy April, friends! Spring is finally here (technically, anyway, Mother Nature is being rather indecisive about it in Toronto). I think Spring is a great time for new beginnings, after all who says fresh starts can only happen at New Years?
So in the spirit of new beginnings and fresh starts and all the other variations of that phrase, here are some ways to make the most of this new beginning!
Start a Journal
Turn Over a New Leaf / Play Every Day / Ups and Downs
I love journals because they’re so versatile–you can buy blanks ones and sketch in them, or lined ones to write down anything from lists to your personal life to the next bestselling novel. The possibilities are endless! Plus, there are so many journals that come with their own themes and prompts these days that there’s really no excuse.
Keep in Touch
Bumblebee Thank You Notes / Typewriter Note Cards
Buy some cute new stationary and write a letter by hand. Write to everyone you know, because who doesn’t love receiving something in the mail?
Try Something New
Hand Lettering / The Little Book of Mindfulness / Read This If You Want To Take Great Photographs of Places
Interested in photography? Calligraphy? Mindfulness and meditation? There’s a book for that. No, really. There’s a book for pretty much anything you would ever have a desire to learn. Trust me.
Read a Book (or Two)
Speaking of books, read some fiction! Now that Spring is here I think we’re all a little more inclined to take a walk around the neighbourhood, or find a cafe with outdoor seating, so why not bring along a new book to make your time outside last a little longer.
Treat Yourself
Buoy T-Shirt / Insulated Water Bottle / Books Tote
Last, but not least, treat yourself! Have you been eyeing the new Spring clothing lines? Treat yourself! Do you desire an aesthetically pleasing way to hydrate? Treat yourself! Love a good tote? Treat yourself!
