You know in movies about Business People™ where they all meet around a boardroom table and there are fancy chairs and someone Very Important talks about something even more important? On Tuesday, that Very Important person was none other than yours truly!
I had the opportunity to present the spring list to a group of thirty librarians from across the Vancouver Public Library system and it was quite the experience!

This was the very official boardroom table and the site of my presentation. People sat around the edge of the room as well. It was a big gang!

And this is the vertigo-inducing, seven-storey view from the window of the boardroom. Don’t look down!
It was a great experience and my presentation was well-received by the attendees, who were all gracious and lovely. Sadly, librarians are skittish creatures so I didn’t get any pictures of the whole gang but take it for granted that they were pretty stellar bunch!
Now because I don’t know any songs specifically about awesome librarians, here’s some gypsy jazz instead!
