Hi friends!
On Monday some of us Ampersanders went for a lovely lunch with Meera Sodha, author of
Made in India. Meera shared with us her favourite dish for the fall (her coconut fish curry) and
some of the differences between northern and southern Indian food (northern is “stick to your ribs”
comfort food, while southern is filled with vibrant, intense flavours and colours). Her brightly coloured,
inviting cookbook is a nod to her travels and her heritage just as much as to her own warm, friendly
demeanor. We ate, we drank, we chatted, and Meera graciously allowed us to take some pictures of her
while she signed our cookbooks. We all walked away with this wonderful addition to our
kitchens.
