Postcapitalism

December 01, 2015 | by

Ok, time for a little gravitas after weeks of sales conference indulgence. While relaxing on my comfy couch last night – so nice to be home – I listened to a CBC Ideas podcast with Paul Mason, author of Postcapitalism: A Guide to Our Future.  Published earlier this year in the UK, the book will be released in North America by FSG (Raincoast) in February. Mason argues that we are on the brink of a change so big and so profound that capitalism itself will mutate into something wholly new. The heart of the change lies in information technology which reduces the value of what we make and thus, says Mason has the potential to destroy an economy based on markets, wages and private ownership. Mason, economics editor of Channel 4 News presents these weighty matters in an interesting, digestible fashion. You can listen to the podcast here:
