I have been perusing Michael Shermer’s collection of columns from Scientific American,
Skeptic coming from Raincoast in January. Shermer aims to synthesize scientific concepts and theory
for a general audience. These very accessible pieces are organized into ten categories. Some of the
most intriguing for me include Pseudoscience and Quackery; Aliens and UFOs; Human Nature;
Psychology and the Brain.
Dip in and get the low-down on acupuncture, the political brain and why ET has not phoned in.
