Hi guys!
I would like to document my Love Letters to the Dead journey:
Friday on airplane: My flying buddy Vanessa, and I opened our matching hardcovers and powered through
for two hours until the plane started landing and I needed her undivided attention to distract me from
gnawing off my hand out of stress. I’m not a good flyer, (I yelled over and over until we hit ground).
Saturday 6:00 am: Time changes are difficult. I woke up at 5:30 am Vancouver time, (8:30 am Toronto time)
and started reading. I was engrossed and determined to reach the climax of the book. When I did, I found
myself plunged into a deep (over) emotional depression and spent the rest of the day sadly walking around
asking who else had read the book and how sad they were about it all.
Monday 3:00 pm: Love Letters to the Dead completed.
Conclusion: I really enjoyed it! I was expecting to cry but was so taken by the main character’s journey of grief
that I forgot to cry and was instead depressed for her as if she were a friend. I highly recommend it, if you’re
in for an emotional journey.
