Happy WorldPride week!
Toronto is buzzing with WorldPride excitement this week and we are all preparing for
the massive crowds that will grace our city with their colourful presence. This year is
predicted to be the largest Pride Week yet, with an estimated 2 million people visiting.
We’ve got some pretty amazing LGBTQ titles coming out at Ampersand that I think you’ll enjoy.
Check them out:
When Everything Feels like the Movies from Arsenal Pulp Press
Linda Troeller & Marion Schneider: Orgasm Photographs & Interviews from Art Book DAP
Adrian and the Tree of Secrets from Arsenal Pulp Press
She of the Mountains from Arsenal Pulp Press
Also, check out Arsenal Pulp Press’ QUEER FILM CLASSICS series to read up on some of the most
important and influential films about and/or by LBTQ people made between 1950 and 2005, and written by
leading LGBTQ film scholars and critics.
Here are two titles that I can’t help but mention from a few seasons ago that knocked our socks off:
Branded by the Pink Triangle by Second Story Press
Blue is the Warmest Colour by Arsenal Pulp Press
And if you LOVE Rae Spoon and Ivan E, Coyote like us, check out their article on the Quill & Quire
about their collaborative book Gender Failure.
Happy WorldPride! Have an awesome week!
